Free The Hips
This workshop focuses on postures and flows that free the physical tensions in the hips to toes creating greater health and vitality in the pelvic region, hips, legs, feet and toes. As the physical tensions release one can feel the subtle energy begin to flow bringing one into a deeply peaceful and joyful state.
Free The Spine
This workshop will focus on the spinal wavelike movements that are unique to TriYoga. This wave reflects the way that the energy moves through the subtle body. Physically the flows increase strength, and flexibility in the spine as well as the chest, abdomen, shoulders, arms, wrists and hands. Energetically the flows release blocks in the subtle energy pathways (Nadis – channels of Kundalini energy) allowing the energy to flow unimpeded.
The knowledge of life-energy, PranaVidya includes the trinity of breathing sequences (pranayama), concentration techniques (dharana), and meditation (dhyana). Presented systematically, these practices develop better health, mental clarity and inner peace. The breathing practices build the muscles of the abdomen and pelvis, strengthen internal organs and increase the flow of prana. The concentration and meditation techniques will deepen inner focus and awareness and will help you feel relaxed and quiet during and at the end of class.
Restful Postures, Breath Awareness, Meditation
This TriYoga Workshop will include pranayama practices to help clear the mind and bring one into the present moment; mudras for the hands, feet and eyes to bring warmth, circulation and focus; gentle flows and postures to bring warmth and a calm energy to the body; sustained postures using prop support for a deeply restorative practice; concentration and meditation practices. TriYoga Flows with Mudra Focus
Gain greater clarity of basic hasta (hand) mudras. Learn the beautiful precision of the mudras and how they connect with the TriYoga flows and postures helping to strengthen the inner focus and to awaken to the still presence within.
This is a wonderful way to deepen your practice and understanding by sharing with a partner. We begin with a gentle flow to warm up the body and prepare for the deeper stretches. A partner helps one to go deeply into a posture while giving support to increase flexibility and relaxation. This class is appropriate for all levels as well as for teachers. Learn how to safely assist your students with correct alignment guidance.
Salutations & Strengthening Flows
Surya Namaskar (sun salutation), an advanced flow, is but one salutation to honor the light within. In TriYoga we have many more flows and salutations to awaken the inner knowing to one’s true nature starting at beginner and moving up to advanced levels. The Strengthening Flows tone and energize the body while deepening the inner strength and focus.
